The Abandoned Railroad structure, which now services the Portage County Bike and Hike Path owned by the City of Kent, and Akron Barberton Cluster Railway (ABCR) bridge are located in the City of Kent. The existing ABCR structure carrying rail traffic and the Abandoned Railroad bridge carrying pedestrian and bike traffic over the CSXT tracks will be raised. The existing abutments carrying the railroad need repaired before the bridge can be raised.
